Hello All, I have been running Mac Office 2011 on a Mac under Hi Sierra OS. Because of a software problem with the Mac I needed to reinstall the Office suite from my distribution disks (and product key) - which I still have! However, when trying to access my pre-reinstall identities, I get an error message saying that the identity cannot be used with this version of Outlook.

I believe there were at least a few service packs released that modified Outlook 2011, and they are likely the reason my identities won't work with my version of Outlook without the service packs. I have tried to download the Office updates but get the error message 'Autoupdate cannot connect to the update server'. Researching this issue I came upon a notice that support for this version of Office was suspended in October 2017. Is this a poorly described error message that is coming up because the product is out of support?

Is there another reason I'm getting this error message? I'm not having internet conectivity issues with any other websites. Is there any other way for me to either (1) get the service pack updates or (2) extract my contacts from the identity file so i can import thiem into a new version of Office 365 of Office Mac 2016?
