First, make sure your system meets the requirements for running Jenkins. Once you're all set with the basics, enough RAM, enough disc space, and the latest version of Java installed, open a browser to jenkins.io/download. Scroll down the page until you see the Mac OS X section in the column to the left and click on it.

This will start the download for a Mac installation package. Once the download is complete, click on the package to start the installation. Accept the defaults from the installation wizard by clicking continue.

And when you're prompted to accept a software license agreement click agree. You may be prompted to install for all users of this computer. If so go ahead and select that and click continue. Then click install. You may be prompted for your login password. If so, enter your credentials and click install software.
