This creates a ‘smearing effect’ in the final image which is known as Ghosting (not the same as in lens Ghosting). Best photo tool for mac. A person or a car or a bird.

Double-click within the header or footer area on the page from which you want to remove the header and footer; a window that allows you to change your headers and footers appears. Click 'Link to Previous' in the 'Navigation' grouping of options; this allows you to change the header or footer on the page without affecting the headers or footers on the other pages.

I have seen custom headers and footers that are available in the Footer tab under 'General' (see image attached) and would like to know how I can create headers and footer of my own, or amend or delete the footers/headers in the document. I'd like this to be available and saved to the Normal.dotm so I can also distribute the Normal file to my colleagues to use as well. I can find a great deal of information on how to do this for PCs, but can't find anything to help me with doing the same for Mac.

Is anyone familiar with how to achieve this? ------------------ EDIT: I forgot a very important part of my question. Sorry for those who took time to answer me - I have been wracking my brains trying to figure out how to do this with an image, not with just text. What I need to do is be able to create a custom template footer and header that consist of an image (company letterhead header and footer).

Like this screen shot. It may not be possible, but I thought I would seek answers from the experts here. Thank you and sorry again for an incomplete question. Daniel, thank you very much for your reply. I appreciate the time you took. I have to apologize, as I missed a critical part of my question.

I want to do this with images, not just text. I know how to deal with text formatting for Normal.dotm, but can see nowhere to put in images. Again, I am very sorry for your trouble.I must have been so distracted with the copious google search phrases, I didn't notice I left out the important part. I have amended my original question to reflect what I really am looking for, but I begin to think it is not possible in Word for Mac. Bob, thank you for weighing in. As I apologized to Daniel, I must to you as well.

But thank you for noting the 'General' section in my Headers/Footers tabs and for noting that this is not normal and not part of Word for Mac. This document has come from a PC user - the person who creates the documents for my use at the office is a PC user and my entire office is Mac-based. Based on your reply, I begin to suspect I have no options for creating headers/footers with images myself.

Thank you again, and sorry for the trouble. Please don't misunderstand:-) It isn't that you can't create custom Headers/Footers. You most certainly can. And they can contain images inserted just as they would be inserted into the body of a document. It's just that you can't add them to the Header/Footer Galleries on the Ribbon. Using Daniel's suggestion re AutoText you also can have them appear in the Insert> AutoText - Headers/Footers menu.

Please mark HELPFUL or ANSWERED as appropriate to keep list as clean as possible ☺ Regards, Bob J.
