You can easily uninstall Office for Mac apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook using these instructions. You must be signed in as an administrator on the mac or provide an administrator name and password to complete these steps.

I would just try it in that case. Otherwise, see if there is a 2011 download at the Microsoft site. See if that works.
If both of those fail or are not an option, then I would contact Microsoft’s Mac office support. I looked it up and found this at Microsoft’s site:. Does that help? If not, then you’ll definitely need to contact them.
Of course, you can always decide it is time to update to the most recent version. I’m using and Office 365 subscription myself to pay an annual fee and always be up-to-date on MS apps. I use them professionally, so it is a no-brainer for me.

Can anyone help please -- Carol • 3. Where can I still find a DOC or link that shows the comparisons between the two versions? I am running on a laptop with Vista op System. Office 2004 is behaving very erratically for me, a new development after a long period of happiness. I have tried replacing preferences files, I have rune First Aid on my startup disk and repaired permissions (both from the OSX Tiger install disk) and yet I am experiencing LOOOOOOOOONG load times for MS Office. I feel I need to erase and reinstall office, but I don't want to lose my email archives.
