Messages in iCloud are updated automatically, so you always have the same view everywhere you use iMessage. When you delete a message, photo, or conversation on one device, it’s removed from all of your devices. And since all of your attachments are stored in iCloud, you can save space on your device.

After a long wait, iCloud support for the stock Messages app finally goes live with iOS 11.4. So, you can now enable “Messages in Cloud” both on your iPhone and Mac to secure your conversations, attachments and all the memorable shared images. Thanks to the integration with iCloud, managing iMessage has become plain sailing. For instance, if you clean up unnecessary conversations on your iPhone, the result would reflect on your other devices like Mac or iPad. Aside from providing the needed security to your messages, it can also let you free up some precious storage on your device.
