Hello, I'm not sure if this is more an Office 2013 Std 64bit issue or Citrix, if so I can post there instead. We use Citrix XenApp for our users which provides them with a centralised desktop so we just keep one image up to date and push out to them, it's really good. We have recently installed Skype for Business 2015 and I have installed the Lync 2013 client on the image and then installed: lyncmso2013-kb2889923-fullfile-x64-glb.exe lync2013-kb3114351-fullfile-x64-glb.exe These 2 updates upgrade the client to Lync 2013 to the Skype for Business 2015 client. The problem we get is if we open our Outlook 2013 clients in Citrix and go to Calendar and press the Skype button it shoudl insert the Skype meeting url in the meeting, but instead we get the error: 'Create online meeting failed. Please make sure Skype is running and signed in and try again' I did uninstall Office and the Skype client and try again just with Lync 2013 and I get the same error, I've tried to repair Office2013 std 64bit, still no luck. I also tried installing Office 2013 Pro Plus where the Lync client is part of the suit and get the same issue.

I found this article ' Integration with Outlook can be a challenge because some features require the Lync and Outlook clients to co-reside.' If you cannot get a answer from Citrix, I suggest you open a case with Microsoft Premier Support. From “The biggest challenge in delivering Lync using Local App Access is that the Lync client should co-reside with the Outlook client. Since in a XenApp/XenDesktop environment it is generally not desirable to install Office on the user device, this usually means configuring either a second instance of the Lync client on the XenApp/XenDesktop server or an instance of the Outlook client on the user device. More investigation is required in this area.” However, I’m not familiar with Citrix products, it would be best that you contact Citrix for further support.
