April 17, 2012 Steve Creates DVD from Canon Vixia MTS files I purchased a Canon Vixia HF200 digital camcorder in December. My sole intent at this point is to convert the.MTS file that is downloaded to my computer to DVD so that I can distribute my recordings to friends and family. Since purchasing the software I have made two DVDs by converting the.MTS file to a.VOB and then using Nero 8 to burn the DVD. I do notice a degradation in quality when on the DVD, but it is still acceptable. I did notice a difference in the 'medium quality' vs. The 'high quality' setting. I will be using the 'high quality' setting going forward.
